Christoph Amberger (ChA), 1957, is a Senior Business Leader and former Board Member of KWS Saat AG. He studied Agriculture with focus on business at the Universities of Göttingen and Munich and earned his doctoral degree in 1986.

He has been a Member of the Executive Board of KWS SAAT AG from 2001 to 2013. KWS is a worldwide leading seed company for agricultural crops (turnover > €1 bln. in 2013) listed on the German Stock Exchange.

ChA has been i.a. President of the European Seed Association (ESA) from 2009 to 2012, Member of the Board of Directors of the International Seed Federation (ISF) from 2005 to 2014 and Membre du Comité Plénier, Comité Technique Permanent de la Sélection des plantes cultivées (CTPS), France from 2011 to 2014.

In 2013 he decided to move out of the operational business in favor of acting as an independent advisor and expert in various Boards and Committees in Germany, The Netherlands and Brazil.
